Bethany Herrera, APRN, FNP-C
Bethany Herrera is a board-certified, Family Nurse Practitioner and a graduate of Hardin- Simmons University in Abilene, TX. She attended Hardin-Simmons for her Bachelors and Masters in Nursing. She is currently obtaining a Post-Masters in Emergency Medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. She is always looking for ways to further her education to better serve the needs of her patients.
Bethany started her nursing career in the Emergency Department at Texas Health Resources in 2013. She has worked bedside nursing prior to advancing her practice. “I love having bedside nursing experience before becoming a practitioner. I understand both roles which helps my team and patients”. Bethany has been practicing in rural health as a Nurse Practitioner for the past year. Prior to joining Weatherford OB/GYN, she worked in a critical access hospital covering many roles including inpatient, clinic, and ER. She looks forward to working in Women’s Health. “As a woman, I can understand my patients concerns and needs. I enjoy helping provide women with education about their bodies throughout the lifespan. A colleague once told me that knowledge is comfort and empowering. I find this to be true as a provider and patient!”.
In her spare time, she loves to travel and spend time with her husband + two little dogs. Bethany, her husband and young son reside in Weatherford, TX.
