Stephen Stamatis, M.D., F.A.C.O.G.
Dr. Stephen Stamatis, born in Houston and raised in Tomball, Texas. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, and went on to receive his Doctor of Medicine from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth.
In 2007, Dr. Stamatis established his OB/GYN practice in Weatherford, where he continues to provide exceptional care to the community. He is a dedicated member of the medical staff at Medical City Weatherford and is known for his attentive, compassionate approach. Patients appreciate his commitment to delivering personalized, high-quality care in every interaction.
Dr. Stamatis specializes in operative laparoscopy, operative hysteroscopy, and pelvic reconstruction surgery. He is Board Certified by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a member of the American Medical Association and the Texas Medical Association. He is also proficient in medical Spanish, allowing him to better serve a diverse patient population.
Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Stamatis enjoys an active family life with his wife Allison, and their four daughters - Lillian, Hazel, Cora and Fern. Together, they embrace life outside the city spending time hiking, biking and gardening. He is also a passionate supporter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Foundation and contributes to several local organizations, including Freedom House, which works to end abuse and violence through prevention and intervention.
Dr. Stamatis is currently accepting new patients, including those with new pregnancies, gynecological needs, and referrals. Both insured and self-pay patients are welcome.
